The Imperial Hotel, Cork City's oldest hotel, is delighted to announce that it has been awarded Four Star Classification by Fáilte Ireland.

The elevation to the Four Star Classification awarded by Fáilte Ireland is indeed deserved. Since acquiring the Imperial in 1989 John Flynn has had a clear and inspirational vision of the hotel's development. His vision was to restore the Imperial Hotel to its original position as the premiere business and social centre in Cork City.

With an investment of over €12 million into Cork City's oldest hotel, the Imperial has now achieved the demanding criteria for a Four Star hotel.

The Four Star Imperial hotel now proudly boasts 130 guestrooms, a Penthouse Suite, a Business Centre, the Pembroke Restaurant, Souths Bar, Lafayette’s Brasserie and the jewel of the Imperial crown, Ireland’s first Aveda Lifestyle Salon and Spa "Escape".

Joe Kennedy, General Manager, speaking at the conferring of the Fourth Star on the Imperial Hotel with Escape Salon and Spa said:
